How do I test
on an InBody?

The testing procedure will vary slightly by model, but here is a general guide to InBody testing.

Align your feet with the foot electrodes your weight will be automatically measured.

Preparation

For the most accurate
results, prepare right.

Because InBody uses sensitive bioelectrical impedance technology, small changes in your routine can affect the data. Follow these steps.

Do this before testing

  • Maintain normal fluid intake the day before; hydrate 1 hour prior
  • Stand upright for 5–10 minutes before the test
  • Test at the same time of day every time for consistent tracking
  • Remove all heavy accessories jewellery, watches, metal
  • Allow 20 minutes for body temperature to stabilise after heat or cold
  • Use the restroom before stepping on the device

Do NOT do this before testing

  • Exercise before testing wait until fully recovered (1–3 days)
  • Eat within 3 hours before your test
  • Wear heavy clothing, socks, or pantyhose while testing
  • Have lotion or ointment on your hands or feet
  • Test during menstruation (fluid retention affects readings)
  • Consume alcohol within 24 hours before testing
