Refund & Return Policy

This policy describes when and how you can return an InBody product purchased through InBody India Pvt. Ltd. (via inbody.in, shop.inbody.in, our authorised marketplaces, or direct enterprise purchase orders) and receive a refund, replacement, or repair.

Because InBody body composition analyzers and blood pressure monitors are medical devices, our return policy is designed to balance customer protection with the integrity, hygiene, and calibration of the equipment. Please read carefully before placing an order.

1. Return Eligibility Window

  • Defective on arrival: Report within 48 hours of delivery with unboxing photos/video for transit damage claims.
  • Manufacturing defect discovered later: Report within 7 days of delivery; thereafter the standard manufacturer warranty applies.
  • Wrong product shipped: Report within 7 days; we will arrange pickup and ship the correct item at no cost.
  • Change of mind / no-defect returns: Not accepted on opened or installed medical devices; sealed accessories may be returned within 7 days subject to inspection.

2. Items Not Eligible for Return

  • Devices that have been installed, calibrated, or used (except for proven manufacturing defect).
  • Devices missing original packaging, accessories, manuals, or serial-number stickers.
  • Consumables and hygiene items: thermal paper rolls, electrode tissues, disinfectant wipes, cleaning solutions.
  • Custom configurations, custom firmware builds, or enterprise-tendered units delivered against a signed purchase order.
  • Software licences, training packages, and remote installation/consulting services already rendered.

3. How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email inquiry_india@inbody.com within the eligible window with your order number, the device serial number, a description of the issue, and supporting photos or unboxing video.
  2. Our support team will respond within 2 working days with a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number and pickup instructions.
  3. Pack the device in its original box with all accessories, manuals, and the warranty card. Write the RMA number clearly on the outer packaging.
  4. Hand over to our scheduled courier. Do not ship without an RMA — unauthorised returns will be refused.

4. Inspection & Resolution

On receipt at our Mumbai office, the device is inspected by our service team. Inspection typically takes 5–7 working days. Based on the outcome we will offer one of the following:

  • Replacement with a brand-new unit of the same model.
  • Repair under manufacturer warranty if the issue is repairable and covered.
  • Refund (see Section 5) if replacement and repair are not feasible.

5. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds are processed within 10 working days of inspection completion.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment instrument. UPI/card refunds appear in 5–7 working days; bank transfer refunds appear in 3–5 working days from initiation.
  • Shipping charges, payment-gateway fees, and applicable taxes already paid to government may not be refundable depending on the case.
  • Marketplace orders (Amazon, Flipkart) follow the marketplace's refund timelines.

6. Order Cancellation

You can cancel an order free of charge any time before dispatch. After dispatch, cancellation is treated as a return and is subject to the eligibility rules in Section 1. To cancel, email us with your order number as soon as possible.

7. Manufacturer Warranty

Beyond the return window, your device is covered under the standard InBody manufacturer warranty (typically 12 months for InBody analyzers, 24 months for select stadiometers and blood pressure monitors). Exact terms are stated on the warranty card supplied with each unit. Extended warranty plans, where purchased, follow the terms of those plans.
