Why attend
Where weight and BMI stop being useful
In edema, cachexia and renal failure, body weight hides more than it shows. This symposium covers what body composition and fluid measurement add to clinical decisions in severe disease.
Fluid status you can quantify
ECW/TBW ratio and segmental body water to track edema, fluid overload and dry weight in critically ill and dialysis patients, alongside clinical examination.
Sarcopenia and cachexia, measured
Skeletal muscle mass and phase angle as objective markers in ICU, oncology and CKD, where body weight and BMI mislead.
Multidisciplinary faculty
Critical care, nephrology, oncology and clinical nutrition sessions, with a cross-specialty expert panel on precision patient care.
Measured on the day
An InBody testing desk runs through the day and the live demonstration walks through the result sheet, so what the faculty teach is applied to real data.

Body composition, fluid status & clinical outcomes
Seven scientific sessions across critical care, oncology, nephrology, bariatric surgery and clinical nutrition, a live demonstration and a multidisciplinary expert panel.
Programme subject to minor change. Registered delegates receive the final running order by email before the event.

Building on three editions across India
The Mumbai symposium follows Ácademia Indore 2024, NutriBodyCon Mumbai 2025 and the Met-Body Masterclass in Kolkata in January 2026. The photographs below are from all three events, bringing together clinicians and dietitians across India for advanced body composition learning.

From past delegates
What clinicians took back to practice
My interest was narrow: fluid status in the critically ill. The ECW/TBW discussion was more useful than I expected from a one-day meeting, particularly on interpreting serial measurements in edematous patients.
Explaining ECW/TBW ratio to a patient in one sentence is a skill nobody teaches. I now open every review consultation with the phase angle trend rather than the weight.
In bariatric follow-up, the question is always what the patient is losing. Seeing skeletal muscle mass hold steady while fat mass falls changed how I counsel at every visit.
The segmental lean analysis session made me chart left-right asymmetry in post-operative patients, which I had simply never looked at. It is on my standard follow-up sheet now.

Venue
One venue, one hall
Holiday Inn, Mumbai
All sessions, the live demonstration and the expert panel run in a single hall, so there is no moving between rooms. Address, travel notes and parking guidance are sent to registered delegates ahead of the date.
An InBody testing desk stays open through the day. Bring a de-identified report or a specific case and work through it with the clinical team.
